A semi-hardcore progression raiding guild
Our guild focuses around players who strive to become better both individually as a player and as a guild. We focus on smooth exectuion of raids, gearing mains & alts, and reduce overall game time. Speed is a byproduct of our success, often comparable to ``speed run`` guilds.
Raid times are Tues, Thursday & Sunday 5:30 PM Server Time.
Open Enrollment for Core Raid Roster
All raiders are expected to be
Class Ready
- Understanding your class
- Fight specific responsibilities
- Rotations and situational ability usage
- Pre-BiS gear farmed/farming
Raid Ready
- Being in the raid instance and ready to pull at START time.
- 5:30 PM server means pull starts at 5:30 PM, invites generally go out 30 mins prior.
- Come ready with the appropriate consumables and gear for that specific raid content.
Attitude Ready
- Positive, team and guild oriented mindset
- Long-term outlook that benefits everyone
- Open mind for giving and accepting constructive criticism
Trial Expectations
For the prospective raider, the trial period exists between 0-4 weeks. Trial period allows the member to demonstrate their skill and knowledge of class. This includes 100% raid attendance during their trial period, unless otherwise noted or emergency.
Raid performance, raid preparedness, and overall attitude plays a huge role in the promotion to raider. Some trials who are exceptional at their class, as demonstrated in raid via raid logs, can expect to be promoted very quickly, often after just one week of raiding.
Other trials who are not familiar with raiding will have the opportunity to ask questions, grow, and learn from others. Progress, the ability to improve, take constructive criticism and reach class potential are also factors that are judged during trial period.
Bottom line, trials performance and contribution to the guild is directly linked to how long it takes them to be promoted.
Loot for trail members are a case by case basis. Understand that you will most likely not see a piece of loot unless none of the core members need it. This period exists to demonstrate your abilities to follow directions and competency of class.
Most trial are promoted after 2 FULL MC/BWL clears. The 1st clear allows both the trial and guild to see how we play, mesh, and collect data. The 2nd clear allows the trial to show consistency in play (whether good or bad).
The 3rd and 4th clears are primarily for newer players who want to demonstrate any suggestions we offer and essentially is their last chance at a raider slot.
A few exceptional players were auto promoted to Core Raider after their 1st run.
Consumables & World Buffs
We believe in maximizing efficiency in regards to total time played. This guild does NOT require world buffs.
Farm Content
World Buffs & Consumables are NOT REQUIRED. Members who wish to bring consumables or world buffs can do so on their own accord. We generally have groups running that will get World Buffs for those interested.
Progression Content
Progression Content requires consumables. Each Raid has it’s own list as shown below. The FIRST raid will require the prescribed amounts, and all subsequent raids after will be adjusted to reflect our performance.
Flasks will NOT be required after the FIRST & SECOND raids UNLESS we are having difficulty clearing without them. This will be @ raid leader’s discretion.
Basic Consume List
Loot
Loot Council systems are the most popular method of loot distribution in world-class raiding guilds.
Modified Loot Council
We use a modified Loot Council, where attendance, performance, and attitude allows people to ultimately /roll on items.
This Loot Council does not award specific pieces of loot to players, we merely check if members are on the same tier of performance/attendance/attitude and are allowed to roll.
The loot council is made up of members from the guild. Anyone can apply to join the council. Council members are required to have extensive raiding experience, understanding of their own class, understanding of other classes, and guild management experience.
The loot council has access to a separate channel (two text channels) in discord, to discuss loot distribution. It is open to the public and all discussion is open. Anyone can contribute as we discuss items there. ALL loot is handled BEFORE raid, there are no surprises.
The things that go into the decision are generally:
- The player’s time & rank in guild
- Their role in the guild, for example the main tank over an off tank
- The improvement over their current gear
- How often they attend raids compared to the others interested
- What is best for the guild
- Main characters get preference over alts * UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED *
No public complaints are allowed after distribution, all discussion must be IN PUBLIC, IN THE LOOT DISCORD TEXT CHANNEL.
Loot Cont.
Raiders must submit their desired items after trial period is over.
Submit ALL Loot Desired
After trail completion, the raider must submit a list of all items from every raid instance they desire. This includes [Main Spec, Offspec, PVP, FR/NR/SR]. These items then get added to our master loot list, where everyone can see who is rolling for what, before the items even drop.
Failure to submit the loot to the master list will result in not being able to roll on the items that drop. It is the raider’s responsibility to let the guild know what items their character needs.
After raid is finished, the raider must write in discord the items they received that run in their class discord channel.
Roll Priority Tiers
There are THREE (3) roll tiers for items. Prio A (highest performing, top 10% within class), Prio B (all others), Prio C (newest members). Members within each roll tier will /roll for gear once they are a core raider.
For weapons, rings, and trinkets, a raider must be a core raider for atleast 3 months before they are eligible to be in Prio A.
Prio A – this roll tier is the highest prio roll tier. People in this roll tier get 1st dibs on the item. To be in Prio A, a raider must be within 10% performance (DPS, Ability Usage, Cooldown Usage, Mechanics) within their class, among their peers.
Prio B – this roll tier is for the rest of the players who are core raiders, and have above average performance. This roll tier also includes people who already have significant raid items for that slot and are lower on the priority due to it being less of an upgrade for them.
Prio C – this roll tier is for newer members who we do not have much info or data on, or need to show more improvement. This roll tier also includes people who already have significant raid items for that slot and are lower on the priority due to it being less of an upgrade for them.
Example Loot Sheet View
Every item in the game is on our master loot sheet. See screenshot below to get a glimpse of our organization and stability.

CnF Analytics - Performance Software
To judge performance, we use warcraft logs AND our special software to compare raiders among their peers.
Loot based on pure performance and data
With the use of our tool and warcraft logs, we determine who should be in the TOP/highest roll prio. Our tool analysis rotations, ability usage, and mechanics to score a player, irrespective of their gear. This is the ultimate test of skill.
After every raid, the analytics are available. Every TWO (2) weeks, we update the loot sheet to reflect increase or decrease in player performance.

Loot Priority & Guild Ranks
Loot Priority (LP) determines how heavily you are considered for loot. The scale is 1-5, 1 being highest and 5 being lowest priority. The following information only applies to the MAIN CORE RAID TEAM.
Core Raider
LP1Raider who maintains 80%+ attendance. Reliable member of the guild, expected to be at all raids unless otherwise noted. Adheres to the raider’s requirements.
Class Mentor
LP1Class mentor responsible for understanding their class and role comprehensively. All questions regarding that role (DPS/Healing/Tanking) and class will be handled by such person. This includes understanding: rotations, itemization, positioning, addons, boss fights and encounters from that perspective, and a general understanding of how to play.
Officer
LP1Officers of the guild are members who contribute to the operation and success of the guild. Must be a core raider in order to qualify for loot.
Flex Raider
LP2Flex raider for the MAIN RAID who comes to raid if online / wants to. Not guaranteed raid slot or loot. For members who still would like to raid but can no longer be a core raider due to whatever reasons.
Casual
LP3These members are not guaranteed a raid slot in the main raid and are primarily for the [casual/social] raid.
Trial
LP3Trial member for Raider. The trial period exists between 0-4 weeks. Loot for trail members are a case by case basis. Understand that you will most likely not see a piece of loot unless none of the core members need it. This period exists to demonstrate your abilities to follow directions and competency of class.
Friend+
LP4Friends, casuals, friends of friends, pretty much anyone who we are familiar with, know about/active in the guild.
Friend
LP5Alts, new members of the guild we have no idea about, people who are new to the guild.
Loot Distribution
To prevent gear stacking on low drop rate / high ticket items we use a system that distributes these fairly for members. This applies to weapons, rings, and trinkets.
Weapons / Rings / Trinkets
To prevent gear stacking on low drop rate / high ticket items we use a system that distributes these fairly for members. This applies to weapons, rings, and trinkets.
Raiders who do not have raid pieces in these slots will get priority over those who already do.
Raiders who have farmed at least 1 pre-bis in these slots will have the highest priority.
Raiders who have not farmed any pre-bis in these slots will have the lowest priority.
Raider’s with 0 raid items in that slot have highest priority (1 of 2 must be pre-bis)
Raider’s with 1 raid item have next priority
Raider’s with 2 raid items in that slot have lowest priority (since the upgrade will be mostly a side grade)
Essentially we want the rings/weps/trinkets to be evenly distributed amongst the core raid group rather than stacking on one person AND reward people who put in the time to farm their pre-bis.
Performance based looting still applies — which means regardless of how many items the raider has in that slot, if there is a significant difference in performance (50%+) then the item will go to the higher performing raider, if all other criteria are the same.
Weapon Lock In
There is a weapon of choice lock-in period that excludes a raider from rolling on the alternative until all core raiders have it.
Sword vs. Dagger
An example is Sword Rogue vs. Dagger Rogue. If a Rogue chooses to go Swords, they will have priority on all Sword drops and it will exclude them from being allowed to roll on Daggers until all Dagger Rogue’s have them.
The same applies for Dagger rogues, they will not be allowed to roll on Swords until all Sword rogues have received them.
Main Hand & Offhand vs. Two Hander
An example is if a Mage decides to go the Mageblade + Offhand route, it will exclude them from rolling on Two Handed weps, until all other raiders have the 2Handed weapon. The reverse is the same, if a Mage goes 2 Handed, they will not be allowed to roll on Main Hand + Off Hand items until everyone has them.
Other Slots
For all other slots, priority is binary. If that item is in a pre-bis list for current raid spec, (1-4 TOP items), then all of those members are the same priority. If the current item is not on any pre-bis list then that raider will have the lowest priority.
Luck
THIS LOOT COUNCIL DOES NOT AWARD INDIVIDUAL LOOT.
When all things equal (mostly are for the core raiders), loot is distributed via a simple /roll. On a lucky night, a single raider may win all their rolls, and we do not limit them in anyway from being lucky. It’s up to the raider to pass to another raider if they would like to.
Loot Distribution Example
Open and Transparent looting system.
Acquiring Loot
When a piece of gear drops, it will be linked one at a time to distribute.

Raid Schedule
General raid schedule, depends on if we are on progression or farm.
The weekly raiding schedule depends on if we are on farm content or progression content, sometimes holidays, world events, and other circumstances. Always check discord for the specific weekly raiding schedule.
All raids occur during core raid time(s).
Cryo and Friend’s is focused on raiding efficiently and gearing its members. Speed runs and time are a byproduct of our skill. We are not a “speed runner” guild, even though our clear times are comparable to those types of guilds. The guild’s primary focus is to reduce over-all time and execute content smoothly. Often times, that leads to very fast clear times.
A level 60 alt is required for our split raiding, where the player swaps between alt+main to faster gear their mains. We raid farm content 2x a week, one with mains+alts, and then again with the opposite alts+mains.
Phase 4 Farm Content Schedule
Tuesday
- BWL [FIRE] – Full Clear
- MC [FIRE] – Full Clear / Partial
If we are unable to finish MC on Tues, cleanup will happen on Sunday.
Thursday
- BWL [WATER] – Full Clear
- MC [WATER] – Full Clear
If we are unable to finish MC on Thurs, cleanup will happen on Sunday.
Sunday
- Cleanup and raid content
- ONY if time permits
Sunday is used for cleaning up raids that did not finish during the week. Otherwise, it will be for Split Ony + anything else.
Phase 5 Progression Content Schedule
Tuesday
- AQ 40 [PROG]
Focus on AQ.
Thursday
- AQ 40 [PROG]
- BWL [FIRE]
Depending on how we did on Tuesday, we will either stop AQ prog or go back to AQ on Thurs.
Sunday
- BWL [FIRE] – Clean up
- BWL [WATER]
- MC Binding Run
Main Swap Policy
To prevent burnout and just non-enjoyment of current class, a player may swap main characters on the raid roster easily if certain criteria are met.
Examples of non issue main swapping
- Priest Healer main wants to swap to playing Resto Shaman for raid
- Hunter wants to play Rogue
Cases where prior discussion or approval is needed
- Healer to DPS
- Tank to DPS
Since Healers/Tanks are much harder to replace, a discussion and considerations must take place before giving up those roles to play DPS in the main raid. Not saying that it will not be possible, but it requires more setup/time.
Main swaps also may not be possible if the raid is full on that class/role. Examples where main swapping may not work:
- Warrior to Warlock (Raid is already capped at maximum amount of warlocks possible)
- Mage to Hunter (Raid is already capped at maximum amount of hunters possible)
When making these decisions, there is a slight but no guaranteed chance a main swap may be possible when that role is already filled by core raiders.
THERE WILL BE A COOLDOWN OF 3 MONTHS starting after the trial period for the main swap. We don’t want members to abuse this.
Main swap has open enrollment for during content drought / time between release of next tier. Main swap during progression is highly unlikely to happen.
If you have any specific questions, please reach out to an officer.
Alt Policy
A max level (60) alt is required to be a raiding member of this guild.
Alts are required for split raiding. New trials should use non-raid downtime to level an alt that would be useful for the guild. Mage boosts, dungeon run throughs are available on request.
